#12 TCU – 20
FORT WORTH, Texas -- In yet another game that required a restart due to technical difficulties, Green controlled the ball for nearly fifteen minutes on the way to a dominating performance as TCU disposed of an inferior Nevada squad.
Horned Frog RB Ed Wesley churned out 134 yards on 28 carries, which allowed Green to play keep away from Red throughout. TCU was able to force four turnovers, including a game-changing fumble return for touchdown on the kickoff to start the second half. Red was unable to overcome the insurmountable lead, as Green drove HB dive after HB dive into the teeth of the Nevada defense.

It was the second time this tournament that Green was able to put up a decisive victory despite his quarterback putting up sub-50% completion rate and under 100 passing yards.
While Nevada had hopes of continuing the tradition Colin Kaepernick built, it must settle for a first round exit by way of a former mid-major/Big 12 convert. A confident TCU program will look forward to a second round tilt with the winner of the worst offensive scheme (#44 Georgia Tech, wishbone) versus an even worse defensive scheme (#21 West Virginia, 3-3-5) battle.
