"I'm a man! I'm 40!"
BOISE, Idaho -- Boise State looks awfully lonely out there.
The Broncos have endured as Blue's only team in the second round after defeating Vanderbilt, 10-0. Blue's record through games played yesterday stands at 1-6. And the one win was not of the convincing variety.
Though the Commodores were shutout, they were able to control the ball for much of the first half, and trailed 3-0 at halftime. Boise State finally got it going a couple drives later by way of the ground game, and HB Doug Martin punched it in from 25 yards out for the game's lone touchdown. Martin led the way for the Broncos with 108 yards on 15 carries.
Boise State hopes to be sharper when they face #37 Washington in the second round.
